What is a QR code?
The QR (English QR Code) codes are a type of two-dimensional barcodes.
Unlike a conventional bar code, information is encoded within a square, allowing you to store large amount of alphanumeric information.
QR codes are easily identified by its square shape and the three tables located in the left upper and lower corners. It was created by the Japanese company Denso Wave, a subsidiary of Toyota in 1994
Uses of a QR code
Although the initial development of QR Codes main objective was to use in the automotive industry, today the ability to read QR codes from mobile phones and devices allows the use of QR Codes in countless completely different applications, as they can be : Advertising, identification of pets or people, marketing campaigns, corporate stationery, merchandising, the Internet, web sites, etc.
